I do have one picture on StalkerPhone, but StalkerPhone's wirey thing doesn't seem to be working at the moment so it's stuck in there. It's a picture of an effigy of Joseph Porter that Flo created in the sand on Cromer beach.
So there won't be a proper update with photos and stuff 'till next week. Sorry!

I said in the last post about a minor stalkercam disaster. It happened in Rotherham...
I've not been to Rotherham in white some time. So I set off early totally convinced I would spend at least an hour totally lost. Did surprisingly well and only spent half an hour being totally lost. Got there early and sat outside enjoying the lack of rain and making evil plans via text message. Also had a chat with theose very agreeable All Living Fear chaps.
Plodded inside to see Nightmoves. I'm quite fond of this lot. Top goth tunes from not too far away. If you like your goth bands sounding a bit like The Sisters, you might just fall in love with this lot. Even if they did have a bit of a stage-trashing (check the video...) how rock and roll! There was a bit of a kerfuffle to put things right, but still a darned good show!
Stalkercam was decidedly less happy though. I dunno if it was the dry ice or if she's just scared of goths, but she threw a huge tantrum and spat her SD card out more than once. I'm still not entirely sure what she was playing at but she seems better now. Fingers crossed this was a one-time tantrum. To be fair it was probably the shock of a goth gig with smoke and drum machines. She's been spoilt recently with all that sunshine and folk and punk music. So apologies for the fact the photos are few and fucked up. As unprofessional (hang on - when the hell did I become a "professional" anything?!) as it is to blame your camera - she bloody started it.
All Living Fear were great. They made a hell of a lot of noise for just the three of them and it sounded fantastic. I keep losing my faith in the whole goth thing, but bands like these make you realise it's not all band and some of it is downright bloody fantastic. Only problem was the train home - had to leave halfway through ALF's set (I'm still sulking...) and made the last train home with just three minutes to spare. Blimey!

First it was the YouTube, then it was the photo thingy, now (as you might have noticed) this site totally dissapeered for a few days - I still have *no* idea why this happened. Also the other day, stalkercam had a tantrum. More of that later.
Now, one thing that's been annoying me a LOT is the sheer pillockry of this. I was really looking forward to that there Tallington thing, but the noodlewits running the venue don't seem to give a toss about fantastic lineups or large groups of lovely people. They're more into makeing up wacky shit and acting like twats. Worst of all, I'm not going to be watching Blyth Power (have you seen my Last.FM? Yeah...) next week. So I went to see Joseph Porter in Kettering instead...
First up was Dik Guru who was great fun to watch. Very funny stuff from a bloke whose PE teacher was even weirder than mine (ex-nearly-famous footballer last seen looking uncomfortable after being asked why he'd been collecting videos of my sister's classmates. Yep...).
Next was Wob who is always great - he's so happy! New tune "For a good cause" (on his new "Month of Sundays" mini-album. Which is very good) was a bit of a highlight. The singalong was interesting...
Headlining was Joseph Porter. Who is a bit of a hero of mine. Put simply, the man is a genius and a half and can do no wrong. Especially when he's grumpy and ranting. "Valley of Kings" was a clear highlight as was "Ghilbert De Haace" (if only for the story and the bitterness with which he said the words "tattooed goth"...) Wob joined him onstage for the last few songs. Fantastic stuff. As someone else who was there said "they could have played the whole back catelogue and I'd still have wanted more". I think I can agree with that...

Yet more distractions... Went in to Thou Art to get a trio of Microdermals. I do like it there. Apologies for the picture, but they're still quite bloody and bruised. Fantastic. And since someone's going to ask - yes, they REALLY REALLY HURT! Not the worst thing ever, but pretty owchy.
Yeah... Not much here. Something may be in the future.
In the meantime, http://theasigma.com is where it's at.
Yep.
Stuff I've been meaning to say:
Congratulations, Vomitus. You have managed to give me a gift that keeps giving: GERD. I enjoy the fact that no matter what I eat or don't eat, I seem to get acid reflux every night since your last visit. I'm glad I have something so permeating to remember you by.
I'm currently feeling pretty ill right now, ill enough to cancel making mineral eyeshadows and practice putting up the EZ-up tent with Mrs SnitchesGetStitches. That sucks. I was going to introduce her to my Little Red Wagon, too. [currently in search of a name]
I canceled my Live365 account. For you, the reader, this means that if you were previously enjoying Radio Xiane, you have until April 27th to listen to the current rotation. I want to start posting podcast broadcasts instead, but if there's no interest then I won't bother. [that's your cue to say "yes chris pls" or"I'm sick of your musical taste anyway" or "I like peanut."] I can make this into a poll if that's what you need to feel involved in the decision-making process.
I got my first wholesale account offer this week. I sent my prices over and haven't heard back. Go me. I also got ripped off for the first time as a buyer on Etsy. Considering that I've been a member since August 2005, that's not too bad of a record.
I have to drag all my sproutlings in this evening, because they're calling for possible sub-freezing temps. Ack. I have beautiful lettuce going, happy purslane and persian cress, johnny-jump-ups, brussel sprouts... all that will be camping on my washer tonight!
Squeegee Cat continues to be a life-saver. After all this horrible pet food recall action, I realized although I was trying to be a good cat mom and make good food choices, I was feeding my cat something akin to high-end fast food. I am now transitioning him to a raw diet and he's been really funny about it. He sings arias after a particularly good meal. He's also been ridiculously cuddly with me. Overall, he's just an excellent feline friend and I'm lucky he's here.
here are some letters.
a. Soy yogurt does not get a thumbs up.
b. Despite what my cat thinks, I do not like being awakened by having a nose inserted into my nose.
c. I really like assembling things. Putting together the wagon made me really happy.
d. Smart Water really saves the day for me.
e. We keep buying cookbooks but don't cook as much as we should.
f. GERD + Vegan Indian food = ACK.
g. Bananas help this a little.
h. I miss crab watching.
look for more alphabet in later installments.
